Coastal Lodge ideal for visitors
wanting private retreat away from the public eye.
Salmon fishing is one of the main attractions;
access through the property and along the beach
to the Hurunui River Mouth is available. The Hurunui
River is one of New Zealand’s premier salmon
fishing rivers. From Manuka Bay Lodge’s
beachfront property direct access to the river
mouth is afforded along the beach, however an
alternative route is available - the property
leads directly to the Manuka Bay – Hurunui
River Mouth Coastal walkway, this winds along
the coast through one of the last remaining native
southern east coast native forests. This stunningly
beautiful walkway affords river access in stormy
or very high tide conditions.
The property features a spacious
2-storey residence including large living areas
and seaside viewing balconies and decks. This
new house is not quite finished giving only limited
accommodation until the bedrooms with ensuites
are finished. This lifestyle retreat has ample
garaging and extensive driveways. It also contains
a shearing shed and chalet suitable for WWOOF
accommodation. The farm is used for grazing Belted
Galloway Cattle.
Please contact for lodge accommodation,
farm-stay, WWOOFing or fishing or other South
Island adventures. Ideally located on New Zealand’s
Canterbury coast approximately 1 ½ hours
scenic drive from Christchurch and the International
Airport.
